The Chihuahua is one of the smallest dog breeds with a final size of 15 - 23 cm. Already after a maximum of 13 months Chihuahuas are fully grown and show their final appearance.
With a life expectancy ranging from 12 to 20 years, the Chihuahua falls into the upper average compared to other dog breeds. The final weight varies depending on gender, ranging between 2.2 - 6.6 lbs. Male Chihuahuas are usually around 2.2 lbs heavier than females.
