The Havanese is one of the smallest dog breeds with a final size of 23 - 27 cm. Already after a maximum of 13 months Havanese are fully grown and show their final appearance.
With a life expectancy ranging from 14 to 16 years, the Havanese falls into the upper average compared to other dog breeds. The final weight varies depending on gender, ranging between 8.8 - 17.6 lbs. Male Havanese are usually around 2.2 lbs heavier than females.
